INOAC CORPORATION

Intermediate Products Molding Enhanced functionality of carbon and foam products by sandwich structure

Technical Classification:
[ Intermediate Products ] [ Molding ]
Products:
[ Products / Processed Products ]
Keyword:
[ CFRP ] [ flame retardancy ] [ incombustibility ] [ weight-saving ]

Point of the Proposed Technology

Press molding a sandwich prepreg, enables it to preserve stable thickness transition at high cycles.
By optimizing resin mixture and laminate configuration (core foam) of the matrix, flame retardancy/incombustibility and vibration damping performance were achieved while taking advantage of the characteristics of CFRP.

Effect(s)

Increase in the degree of freedom in design by change of thickness
High-cycle and stable production
Flame retardancy/incombustibility
