Keyword:
[ heating apparatus ] [ Hybrid injection molding ] [ insert injection molding ] [ near infrared radiation heating ]

Point of the Proposed Technology

・Dedicated heating apparatus for hybrid injection molding which can be installed at conventional plastic injection molding machines
・By moving the near infrared heater directly to a mold, the insert material can be easily positioned
・By changing the heater output, the heater distance, etc. to a desired value, proper heating conditions can be selected.

Effect(s)

・Thermoplastic CFRP can be hybrid injection-molded by general-purpose plastic injection molding machine.
・Heating under arbitrary heating conditions

Joint Researchers (their role)
NKE Corporation
(Design and manufacturing of conveying equipment)
Example of Application
・Hybrid injection molding and film insert injection molding of thermoplastic CFRP
Technical Problems
・This heating apparatus realizes a higher performance and a lower cost compared to the heating and transfer apparatuses coming from Europe and America. We would like to promote it nationwide.
Collaborator needed to Improve
・Construction of heating condition database of thermoplastic CFRP material
・Material makers which can provide thermoplastic CFRP, heater and injection molding machine makers
