Molding Application of microwave process for CFRP forming, and development of CFRP using recycled carbon fiber

Point of the Proposed Technology

・Development of matrix without heat degradation property of thermoplastic CFRP for microwave process.
・Development of rapid resin curing process on thermosetting CFRP.
・Development of rapid forming of thermoplastic and thermosetting CFRP using the developed low thermal effusive mold.
・Development of adhesion process between resin and recycled carbon fiber without sizing.


Forming time of thermoplastic CFRP: 1 minute or less.
Forming time of thermosetting CFRP: 1/36 as compared to oven-heating process.
Improvement of mechanical properties of CFRP using recycled carbon fiber
