Effect(s)
Short-term impregnation of highly viscous thermoplastic resin is possible.
Conventional Technology
As a conventional general fiber spreading technology, it is a method of rubbing with a roll bar. But there is a limit on the fiber spreading magnification, actual spreading magnification is about 2 times maximum. Also rubbing makes some damage to the fiber.
New Technology
On the other hand, with the Air-flow spreading method developed by our company, it is possible to spread at least 2,3 times wider than the original yarn and 4,5 times or more is possible depending on the original yarn. Also Air-flow spreading is low damage to the yarn. Short-term impregnation of highly viscous thermoplastic resin is possible. Even in the case of spreading with a high magnification, our Air-flow spreading can adjust spreading speed and the number of spreading steps to improve the quality(uniformity of fibers) and to maintain stable spreading width continuously.
